Belotero Revive

Moisture and hydration plays an important role in maintaining a youthful look and optimal skin health. Lifestyle, nature and time in particular work to wear the skin down and diminish this from our bodies. The Belotero Revive is an injectable treatment that combats this by not adding volume but simply hydrating and rejuvenating the skin's natural barriers, from within. Unlike topical solutions, providing this in an injectable form allows you to focus the treatment exactly where it is needed across multiple layers of the skin, providing a tailored approach to every patient.

The Belotero Revive utilises a patented Cohesive Polydensified Matrix technology, allowing for homogeneous integration, and includes the addition of 17.5 mg/ml of Glycerol. Combining these two ingredients provides this treatment with 37.5 mg/ml of hydropholic molecules.

Belotero Revive: The Key Concept

The unique combination of Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerol injected directly beneath the skin where it can provide direct hydration.

Hyaluronic Acid is important for cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation and migration of fibroblasts which causes an increased biosynthesis of collagen and other components of the extracellular matrix.

Glycerol is found in the body endogenously. In combination with Hyaluronic Acid create a lasting moisturising effect on the skin by promoting water absorption from the dermis to the stratum corneum - providing moisture from the inside out.

Belotero Revive FAQs

An injectable treatment that specifically designed to treat the early signs of photodamage. It improves elasticity and firmness and smooths superficial fine lines.

A course of 3 treatments is recommended 4 weeks apart. To maintain results, refresher treatments are advised after 7 - 9 months.

To avoid discomfort, numbing cream is applied prior to treatment. Mild discomfort and stinging sensation can occur during treatment. The injected area may be a bit tender and sensitive 24-72 hours following the treatment.

There is minimal downtime associated with this treatment as the insertions are noticable immediately after the procedure. However, they subside quickly and will disappear completely by the following day.

In Preparation for Belotero Revive

There is no specific preparation for Belotero Revive treatments. However certain medications such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen are to be avoided a few days prior to treatments to prevent bruising and bleeding. Avoiding alcohol at least 24 hours prior to treatment is also recommended to minimise interference with blood clotting, therefore prevent bruising.

After Belotero Revive

Avoid touching the treatment area after the procedure for at least 6 hours. After that the area can be washed with gentle cleansers. Immediate make-up application should be avoided for 24 hours, mineral based make-up is recommended where necessary. Until the initial redness and swelling have resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (e.g. solarium or sunbathing) or extreme cold. Avoid strenuous exercise and swimming for 24 hours to avoid a risk of infection. Alcohol consumption is not recommended for at least 24 hours after treatment. Please always wear SPF 50 sunscreen and discuss any further cosmetic procedures with your practitioner.
